A static SPA to query ATF / BATFE historic AFMER data

This project is a static single-page application that makes the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives' Annual Firearms Manufacturers and Export Report (AFMER) data easily searchable and explorable for researchers, journalists, and policy analysts. By transforming decades of raw, hard-to-navigate government data into an interactive query tool, it reveals long-term trends in U.S. firearms manufacturing and export patterns that were previously buried in static PDFs and spreadsheets. The project is interesting because it democratizes access to a critical public dataset, enabling anyone to uncover insights about the scale and direction of the American firearms industry over nearly two decades.
