PhenoPixel

PhenoPixel is an OpenCV-based web application deployed at Hiroshima University that enables researchers to automatically extract and analyze quantitative phenotypic data from plant images. Designed for botanists and agricultural scientists, it streamlines the measurement of traits like leaf area, color, and growth patterns from photographs. The project is interesting because it democratizes high-throughput phenotyping, allowing labs without expensive equipment to conduct precise, scalable image analysis for crop research and breeding.
