YellowKey
securityYellowKey is a security research project that demonstrates a physical bypass of Microsoft BitLocker encryption by exploiting a vulnerability in the TPM (Trusted Platform Module) during the boot process. It is intended for security professionals, penetration testers, and system administrators to understand and test the risks of TPM-only BitLocker configurations. The project is interesting because it reveals that full-disk encryption can be circumvented with a simple hardware attack, challenging assumptions about BitLocker’s security in unattended or stolen-device scenarios.
