Northbeams

Northbeams is an AI security analyst designed for security and IT teams to detect and manage "Shadow AI"—unauthorized or ungoverned AI tools used within an organization. It continuously monitors internal network traffic and user behavior to identify unknown AI integrations, assess their risk, and enforce compliance policies. The project is interesting because it addresses the growing blind spot of unsanctioned AI usage, turning a chaotic security gap into a manageable, automated oversight system.
